The 24/7 Squad began as a result of a series of sermons at the 2001 South Pacific Regional Student Convention. It began as a concept and has grown a life of its own, rooted and grounded in God’s Word. The 24/7 Squad is based on four principles found in the following Scripture verses: |
The purpose of the 24/7 Squad is to influence others to live for Christ by assisting the Student Convention leadership with any task asked of them. Squad members arrive at ISC prior to registration and remain until after the Awards Ceremony. Some tasks that previous Squads have performed are: |
● Assisting in prerally ● Cleaning up ● Helping in Global booths ● Running errands |
● Being mascots ● Helping with Grand Entry ● Setting up the stage ● Helping with Open Events |
Squad members are students or graduates who can no longer participate in competition but who still want to be a part of ISC by serving. They could be students who: |
● Have graduated from a school using the A.C.E. curriculum. ● Are in school but past the age of competition. ● Have graduated but are not of the age to sponsor students. ● Have servants’ hearts but do not have students to sponsor. |

The first 24/7 Squad served at the 2002 South Pacific Student Convention and has grown every year. In 2009 Accelerated Christian Education adapted this unique program for International Student Convention. Volunteers came from nations around the globe—Nigeria, Haiti, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Guam, Australia, and the United States, to do whatever was asked of them. They did a remarkable job! Before many students were even awake, the 24/7 Squad began their day by having devotions with their team captain at 6:30 a.m., focusing on how Christ wants us to be servants for Him 24/7. After a quick but filling breakfast, they were off and running. |

| If asked, they would say it was the best ISC ever! When doing something for Christ by serving others, God gives a great joy inside. The 24/7 Squad had that feeling all week as they each served whole heartedly and enjoyed the opportunity to be part of ISC 2009. Their work behind the scenes helped make things flow more smoothly and was a blessing to attendees. If you want to be a blessing to others, apply now to be a Squad member for the 2010 ISC.
